Electrician Arrested After Allegedly Scamming Multiple Senior Citizens
It makes me so angry when I hear of anyone that takes advantage of our senior citizens, and the news that is coming out of Plymouth today isn't happy stuff about Buddy the Beefalo, it's about a local electrician who has been charged with 2nd Degree Larceny after fleecing at least two, if not possibly many more, senior citizens in the area.
According to the Plymouth Police Department, Officers arrested the owner of MK Electric, Kevin Ouellet, 41, of Park Street in Plymouth, today, February 18, 2021, after a three month investigation.
Ouellet allegedly sold Generac Generators to two separate Plymouth senior citizens, collected the money, but never gave them the generator. On one of the incidents, Ouellet allegedly bilked nearly $17,000 out of the customer for unnecessary services. These two senior citizens may not be the only victims during the course of this three month investigation, the Plymouth Police Department has also received additional complaints from other senior residents of Plymouth, who have named Ouellet as their alleged victimizer.
The Plymouth Police Department is now sending out the public call to you. If you believe that you may have been a victim of Ouellet, you are encouraged to contact the Plymouth Police Department, or in neighboring towns, your local PD. Plymouth Police also state in the release that the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection has been contacted, and they are also investigating.
Ouellet has been charged with 2nd Degree Larceny, held on a $50,000 bond and will appear in New Britain Superior Court tomorrow (2-19-2021)
