Dick Cavett Joins the Ethan and Lou Show for an Interview About Interviews

Dick Cavett, of Dick Cavett fame, joined us on the Ethan and Lou show this morning to promote his upcoming event at the Ridgefield Playhouse. Dick will be doing an interview series at the Playhouse, which kicks off Saturday night when he interviews Blythe Danner.

Having the opportunity to interview one of the greatest interviewers of all time was both a blessing and a curse. I'd never turn it down, the man is an entertainment legend. On the flip side, you want to be on your game. All in all, I think it went pretty well. Dick did remark that we made it a pleasant experience:

I'll admit, I did second guess myself at one point. During the interview, Dick was telling us about the advice Jack Parr once gave him about conducting interviews. He said don't do an interview, have a conversation. It was at this point, I ditched my notes. Ugh, I always feel like a knucklehead when talking to people like this.
