Danbury Ranks No. 10 in the Nation for Diversity
Wallethub ran a study to find out what are the most diverse cities in America and the Hat City came in at number 10 nationally.
To compile the list they focused in on the following five categories:
- Cultural
- Socioeconomic
- Economic
- Household
- Religious
For a city of our size to rank so highly on a list like this is really something extraordinary, especially considering the other cities in the top 10 like; New York, NY (#3), Los Angeles, CA (#5) and Houston, TX (#1).
There were some other CT cities that also showed up near the top of the list:
- Stamford, CT (#16)
- Norwalk, CT (#21)
- Bridgeport, CT (#23)
Diversity is an important metric and one that benefits all of the people in that community. Diversity breeds new ideas formed from varying life experiences.
I am a proud resident of Danbury, CT and happy to see us rank so highly on yet another national study. Danbury, number 10 in diversity, number 1 in your heart. I feel so much more positive about things since Bennigan's was torn down. That has nothing to do with diversity, it just feels good.
