They rate schools all across the country and state-by-state on college readiness, college curriculum breadth, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, reading and math performance, reading and math proficiency and graduation rates among other key indicators.

How did the Greater Danbury area rank in CT's best schools? One school made the Top 10, it was Ridgefield at #8. Here is the rest of the Top 10:

1 - Darien

2 - CT IB Academy - East Hartford

3 - Weston High School

4 - Marine Science Magnet High School of Southeastern

5 - Staples High School

6 - New Canaan High School

7 - Achievement First Hartford Academy

8 - Ridgefield High School

9 - Greenwich High School

10 - Farmington High School

Brookfield High School was #37

Bethel High School was #40

New Milford High School was #54

New Fairfeld High School #61

Waterbury Academy #77

Henry Abbot Tech - 166-200

Hey, I'd cut my pinkie toe off to go back in time and go to Henry Abbot Tech. I took my son there for a tour about a year ago and begged him to try and get in but he was biting. The curriculum, facilities and people appear to be top notch. I wish I was afforded the opportunity to learn graphic design in high school or learn how to run a restaurant. Just saying, I don't know if 166-200 is fair but what the hell do I know?
