Connecticut Restaurant Feels the Fury of Sarah Sanders’ Defenders

A Connecticut restaurant is feeling the outrage aimed at a Virginia restaurant regarding Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

This past Friday, the owner of the Red Hen in Lexington Virginia asked the White House Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, to leave the restaurant in solidarity of the employees who are gay and are aware that Sanders has defended Trump's wish of banning transgenders from the military.

There is now a new twist to this story as told by the New Haven Register. It just so happens that there is also a restaurant called the Red Hen in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. The Connecticut Red Hen is also receiving threatening messages from individuals either confusing the two eateries or thinking that they are somehow affiliated, which they are not.

After the owner, Shelly DeProto, tried to explain to the haters that her restaurant had absolutely nothing to do with the Virginia eatery, angry Sander's supporters began posting negative reviews on Yelp which plummeted her rating from a 4.5 out of 5 down to a 2 rating. DeProto told the New Haven Register:

This has gone from freedom of speech. This is causing real damage.

DeProto went on to say:

We don't even talk politics at this restaurant. We like to spread the love. We're here to serve. We want people to relax and enjoy a meal.

Which brings me to the question, "Do you think the Red Hen in Virginia had the right not to serve Sarah Huckabee Sanders?"
