Connecticut’s Favorite Christmas Song Revealed
Christmas music can be a divisive topic, but I’m firmly on the “for it” side. Let’s be honest — it’s also a big part of the holiday sales machine. The moment Thanksgiving ends: retailers flip the switch and start blasting the same familiar tunes we’ve been hearing every winter since we were kids. Love it or hate it, there’s no denying it works: the music feels warm, nostalgic, and cozy, and it has this funny way of making people linger in stores a little longer — and, naturally, spend a little more while they’re at it. Convenient, right?

To get a better idea of which songs actually lift people’s spirits — and which ones make them want to escape the store — FinanceBuzz dug into Google Trends to find the most popular Christmas song in every state. They also surveyed more than 1,200 adults across the country to pinpoint which holiday songs people can’t stand anymore.
Connecticut’s Favorite XMAS song: “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
Honestly, it’s the most Connecticut answers imaginable. This song is the musical equivalent of walking into a GAP store.
I’m about to make a statement that might surprise anyone who listens to the I-95 Morning Show: I love this song. I don’t love Mariah Carey — not because she isn’t wildly talented, but just because she’s not really my thing.
But this song? This is the one that truly signals the start of the season. It’s polished, iconic, and impossible to ignore. I know… unexpected.
