Morgan was arrested after a thorough investigation by the Connecticut State Police Western District Major Crime Squad, which stemmed from a complaint made in November 2022 by an attorney whose client had been swindled out of more than $350,000.

The investigation revealed that Morgan allegedly conspired to create and submit false documents to a law firm, tricking them into transferring funds to another financial institution. Morgan was arrested in Michigan without incident, and the Connecticut authorities secured an active extraditable arrest warrant for her.

Morgan is facing a range of serious charges, including conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny, first-degree telephone fraud, and criminal impersonation. She was assigned a bond of $350,000, which she was unable to post, and was scheduled for her arraignment at Danbury Superior Court on December 6, 2024.

This arrest follows a comprehensive investigation into a complex fraud case, and Morgan’s extradition ensures that she will now face justice for her role in the crime.

The charges against Morgan include:

  • C.G.S. 53a-48/53a-122: Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 1st Degree
  • C.G.S. 53a-125c: Telephone Fraud 1st Degree
  • C.G.S. 53a-130: Criminal Impersonation

It is a dream of mine to be extradited to another state or country. I don't necessarily want to commit any crime; I don't want to hurt anyone or be in trouble. I just want the police to kidnap me and take me to a new place of their choosing and I don't want to pay for the travel. Is that still considered extradition?

You need to know what danger level you're facing, what your day-to-day will consist of and what conditions are like. Most of all, you want to know if the place you're going to has a bad reputation.

My recent TV binge of 60 Days In made me want to seek answers to these questions, I needed to know. I was able to find some helpful information from The Connecticut Bail Bonds Group.
