Brookfield PD Sets Out to Hog The Road With New Motorcycle Unit
The Brookfield Police Department is developing it's first ever motorcycle unit or motor unit.
On Monday August 28th, the Department made the announcement on their Facebook page, stating the following:
We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Max Stratton of MAX BMW Motorcycles for finding the motor and Thomas Feeley of Vision Designs for donating his time and the materials to do the graphics on the motor. We have always appreciated how supportive the community is of us and our mission to better serve YOU, thanks!"
Congratulations to the Brookfield Police Department that is a fun change for them. I love this idea for the police because I grew up watching CHIPS so being a motorcycle cop is the height of bad assery. From an early age it was burned into my head that being a motorcycle cop meant blow drying your hair, meeting ladies and being awesome.
I think we should have cops in all kinds of divisions keeping us safe. We should have car cops, motorcycle cops, boat cops, helicopter cops, ATV cops, everything. Well, everything except mountain bikes that is the biggest joke there is. I once got pulled over by a mountain bike cop in Mahopac and I was embarrassed for the police officer and myself. It's goofy looking and it needs to stop.
