Returning from a week-long vacation, Mindy and I decided to pull into the Red Rooster Drive-In to grab a quick ice cream cone, I couldn't believe what I saw!

As we drove into the newly paved Red Rooster parking lot, I looked up and saw this classic Brewster landmark had gone from small to double XL!  to the Wall Street Journal, Red Rooster owner, Andy Lintzeris, who's worked at this iconic drive-in restaurant on Rt. 22 in Brewster for 33 years kept getting asked by his customers, "Why don't you have any seating?"

After being asked that question hundreds of times, Lintzeris finally took action. The giant cone was repainted and a humongous deluxe cheeseburger was added at the top of the new addition and the new and improved Red Rooster was reopened for business on May 23 with a brand-spanking-new indoor section that seats 60 and a new outside patio deck that seats up to 80.

Even though the expansion eliminated some of the picnic tables, there's still seating for 45 and the miniature golf course is still there. One of the Red Rooster servers told me that on Saturday evening, weather permitting, they bring in a DJ who spins rock n' roll oldies outdoors from 6 till 9 pm.
