Man Claiming TikTok Fame Removed From Bethel School After Seeking Fans
According to a release from the Bethel Police Department, a 58-year-old man was removed from Bethel school property earlier this week after allegedly showing up uninvited and telling students he was a “famous” TikTok personality there to meet some of his “fans.”

Police say the incident happened around 12:30 PM on May 21 when school resource officers were notified that the man, identified as Chaudhry Muhammad Shouq, was on school grounds without permission. Officers reportedly spoke with him and learned he had no connection to the school and was not a parent or guardian of any student there.
According to the release, the man claimed he came to the school to meet students who followed him online. Bethel Police said he was informed that visitors are not allowed onto school property without authorization and was ordered to leave immediately. Officers also warned him that returning to any Bethel school property could result in his arrest.

Police made it clear they do not currently believe the man posed an active danger, but they used the incident as an opportunity to remind parents to pay attention to their children’s online activity and conversations with strangers on social media.
The department also expressed concern about adults attempting to interact with children at schools over online popularity or social media status, saying behavior like this can disrupt the learning environment and create unnecessary concern for students, teachers, and staff.
Bethel Police say they will continue monitoring school grounds closely and remain vigilant about unwanted visitors.
