If you're not familiar, Aroma Joe's is a Northern New England (Portland, Maine) based coffee/pastry/sandwich restaurant that is undergoing an explosive expansion. Why? Because it's that good. I love Aroma Joe's coffee, I got hooked on it over the years at multiple Aroma Joe's locations in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine during our Summer trips up North. God, how I've craved that coffee in the winter time.

Well, now I only have to drive 15 minutes to get my fix, and soon, there will be multiple options in our area. I spoke with the franchise owners Cynthia and Mark MacGregor as they were doling out free beverages during their soft-opening yesterday, and they told me some of the best news that I've heard in awhile - Their next Aroma Joe's location is going to be a full-service sit-down on Wolcott Street in Waterbury. From there? Everywhere.

What is Aroma Joe's coffee like? I'd describe it as as a great in-between of Dunkin and Starbucks. Aroma Joe's coffee has a stronger flavor, but it doesn't have that acidity that gives you heartburn after 2 cups, that's why I love it. The Bristol Aroma Joe's is drive-thru only, it's located at 1235 Farmington Avenue in the old Webster Bank building in the plaza that has Hobby Lobby, Edge Fitness, and Big Lots. They're open everyday from 5AM-9PM. I'm so happy.

The Return of Connecticut's Best Seasonal Drive-In's

Daylight's Savings Time is nice, and warmer temps are great, but I think the best thing about Spring is the return of fresh fried clams, footlong hot dogs, juicy burgers, and outdoor dining at these seasonal Connecticut drive-in restaurants.
