It's the most wonderful time of the year and no place feels better on Christmas than Main Street.

There is something charming about the buildings, the decorations and the streets that give Danbury a vibe like no other town in the area. It's like going back in time to see Christmas from decades ago but with the modern problems of the day.

A Christmas Story + Photos From Main Street in Danbury 2021

It's Christmas, so I had to head out into Danbury, at least a little bit to capture the vibe of the streets. It's become something of a tradition for me to photograph Danbury around Christmas and look at it like I'm creating a time capsule for that year.

The night I decided to go out this year, featured below freezing temps and wind like you read about. Believe it or not, there was an "incident" and I'll tell some of the disjointed story as you enjoy my XMAS picture of Main Street Danbury for 2021.

In 2020, I went all out and created three articles of XMAS displays in Danbury but this year I was not feeling it. This year, 2021 Main Street is all you get. I'll make it up with a XMAS display article in 2022.

P.S. My encounter was not the only thing that pissed me off. I needed to turn my car around on Main Street and head back North so I pulled into a driveway and saw this sign.

In case you can't read it, it says: "No Turning in Driveway." Are you kidding me? The nerve of these folks, who do you think ye be? Is this even enforceable? What are we doing here?

P.S. 2 - Apparently Christmastime is one word? When did this happen?

Danbury in Photos 2021

It's that time of year where media outlets inundate you with a braggard list of all the work they've done for the year. By December, everyone is pretty much out of ideas anyway. This is sort of like that. The following are photos I took of Danbury, CT for stories I wrote about the Hat City in 2021.
