The Danbury Fire Department put out a nasty vehicle fire close to a residence on Cedar Crest Drive Tuesday afternoon (June 8.)

Tuesday afternoon, Danbury fire crews responded to 7 Cedar Crest Drive for the reported vehicle fire, which was reported to be very near to a house. City of Danbury Police Department arrived on scene and confirmed a "well involved" vehicle fire. As you can see, the vehicle was fully engulfed by the time fire crews arrived.

Quick action by the Fire Department extinguished the fire. Upon further investigation, crews reported the good news that the home was not affected by the vehicle fire and that there was no damage to the house. The Danbury Fire Marshal's Office was requested to the scene and is investigating the cause of the fire, which is still undetermined at this time.
