In March of 2022, I wrote an open letter to Wegmans President and CEO Colleen Wegman, practically begging her to open a mega store in the greater Danbury area.

I have a soft spot in my heart for Wegmans because it was my first part-time job when I was 16, back in the Paleozoic Age. Even though Colleenn Wegman never responded to my plea, I believe she read that letter and responded with a plan to build a 92,000-square-foot supermarket at 675n Connecticut Ave. in Norwalk.

If you've been considering switching careers, Wegman's Food Markets, a family-owned company ranked #6 on the FORTUNE list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For, is now hiring and training full-time employees for its first store in Connecticut.

Full-time job applicants are invited to apply online at jobs.wegmans.com or call 203-299-3333 for more information. Interviews are conducted by appointment only, and applications are not accepted at the store construction site.

The new Norwalk location aims for a late spring or early summer opening in 2025 and is looking to hire up to 500 team members. Job openings include Lead Cook, Overnight Shift Leader, Overnight Associate, Team Member, Shift Leader, Cook, Kitchen Team Member, Store Associate, and Entry-Level Manager. If you're looking for a part-time position at Wegmans, you'll find endless possibilities. Click this link for all of Wegman's job possibilities.
