While all eyes seem to be on the Men's NCAA Tournament, the UCONN Lady Huskies have quietly done it again and will be returning to the Final Four.

UCONN beat number one ranked Louisviulle 80-73 Sunday afternoon in the Albany Region of the ladies tournament to advance to their 12th straight Final Four appearance.

UCONN Ladies head coach Geno Auriemma told the CT Post that he was impressed by the way this team has responded in the March Madness Tournament:

I don’t know what to say about our entire team’s performance, it was pretty special. I go into every game in the postseason and I’m thinking, this could be the day where it all kind of catches up to us, like at Baylor or at Louisville where we just walk in and we’re totally blown away. I was nauseous all weekend thinking, this could be the day. Usually when we come to these regional's with the teams that I’ve had, I’m not nauseous. I’m like the happiest guy in the world, generally.

Sunday's game was a tight one for Lady Huskies as Louisville pulled within two points with just 28 seconds left in the game before one of the games stars Katie Lou Samuelson, who had a game high 29 points and drained 7 three pointers, stepped to the foul line and sank her two foul shots to put the game out of reach for Louisville.

Next up for the UCONN Lady Huskies is a showdown with either Notre Dame or Stanford Friday night. The game will be televised on ESPN2. A win then would mean the UCONN Ladies would be back in the championship game again next Sunday April 7th and once again they would be playing for the National title.
