Once upon a time, two Danbury High School graduates pooled their money to rent a lone kiosk at the Danbury Fair Mall selling cellphone accessories. That "once upon a time" was five years ago and the Danbury graduates are 27 year olds, Matt Abrantes and Eric Walsh. According to the News-Times, within a year, these two business savvy young men amped up their business and ended up operating kiosks from Maine to Connecticut. They soon decided to make the kiosk owner an offer and the business continued to grow. "Mobile Rescue " was born soon after, and is located at 132 Federal Road in Danbury.

Walsh told the News-Times, "We still had a good competitive advantage because our prices are more competitive than the cellphone carriers plus we offer a much larger selection. These days phone accessories have become more fashionable. Women will often buy different covers just to match their outfits."

Besides smart phones, "Mobile Rescue" also repairs tablets, desk top computers, flat screen TV's, and other electronic equipment. Walsh also told the News-Times that they offer a lifetime guarantee on their repairs and they will often send a repair technician right to your office! Walsh said, "People get stuck at work but they need their phone fixed right away, so we'll go directly to their work place. They never have to leave the office."
