Tour Danbury’s New ‘Hungry Pot’ Korean Restaurant in Under 1 Min
Recently, I visited the new Korean BBQ place everyone is raving about in Danbury.
It's called "Hungry Pot" and it's located on Newtown Road where Teddy's used to be. How is that for a throwback reference? While I plan on sharing my experience with you, here is a quick virtual tour of the place from Taste Connecticut.

I loved this place but it didn't start out that way. Don't get me wrong, the food was delicious, the service was good and the vibe was fun. I did have one problem, there is a learning curve.
If you've never done Korean BBQ, it could take a little getting used to. We hadn't even finished sitting down when the waiter was trying to explain the BBQ and hot pot to me. I still don't understand the hot pot thing but I was almost talked into getting it.
What it came down to is this, if one of us got the hot pot, they wanted all of us to get it because I guess people cheat the system. They have one person order a pot and then everyone shares the things that come with it. I just wanted to fill my face with endless meats and I was so hungry so I was not in the mood to learn the ins and outs of all you can eat economics.
In the end it all worked out, I was not forced to buy a piping hot bowl of broth and I still got to eat about 1000 meats for a very reasonable price. Chef recommends, I'll see you there.
P.S. If you love spicy food like I do, get the spicy pork when you go, it's bang-a-langin'
