I remember walking into Bennigans in Danbury years ago to assist the Danbury Police Department with their Tip-A-Cop campaign.Even though Bennigans in Danbury closed their doors years ago, the Tip-A-Cop campaign to raise money for CT Special Olympics is alive and well. I remember walking into a packed house filled with I-95 listeners and Danbury police officers, as we joined together to raise a ton of cash for Connecticut Special Olympics!

Garner correction officers will host a Tip-A-Cop event at Buffalo Wild Wings next Wednesday, April 15th from 5 to 9pm at their location at 26 Backus Avenue across the street from the Danbury Square Mall. The way Tip-A-Cop works is, during the event, officers assist the restaurant staff in taking orders and serving meals to customers. When the event wraps up for the evening, all of the tips the officers have received go to Special Olympics Connecticut to support their year round sports and health and fitness programs for athletes of all abilities.
