The Flu is Running Rampant in Mahopac
According to Tapinto.net, the Hamlet of Mahopac, NY is seeing a massive spike in positive flu cases .

According to the report, the Putnam County Department of Health is reporting over 400 cases of the flu for the week ending December 3rd. That means the flu numbers are double what they were the week before. Positive COVID-19 cases are also rising in Mahopac.
While this is very much a problem for Mahopac, the influenza surge is not isolated in the hamlet. Just over the state line in Danbury, CT, flu numbers are on the rise with the City reporting 181 cases for the first week of December.
The Putnam County Health Department says residents can be proactive by getting vaccinated "through pharmacies, healthcare providers, and here at the department of health as well."
The Health Department has a clinic at 1 Geneva Road in Brewster. You would need an appointment to visit the clinic, call 845-808-1390, extension 43230 to learn more about times or to schedule a visit. The Putnam County Health Department also urges residents to be socially distant and avoid crowded situations.
