Here comes the most incredible time of year visually for all of us, and the first hints of those beautiful colors have started to arrive in Litchfield County.

According to the State of Connecticut's Foliage Finder at ctvisit.com, we are absolutely right on schedule for the first hints of color in the Northwest hills of Litchfield County, and the very Northeast corner of Windham County. Litchfield and Windham's leaves will be at peak color in the next 2-3 weeks, while the rest of Connecticut will get there right up to Halloween. October 2024 should be spectacular for leaf peppers and artists. I drive home along 202 from Brookfield to Torrington, I stopped along the way and snapped a few pics of the first trees that have started to turn.
