The Biggest Turnoff in Online Dating is Not Having a Profile At All
According to BuzzFeed, someone recently asked Reddit users to share what they think is the biggest turnoff in online dating and not having a profile at all was the runaway winner.
The answers that came back on that said, how can you know someone if you don't know if you have anything in common at all. The other popular turnoffs for online dating were:
- Running off a list of looks based requirements.
- Using the words "don't waste my time" in your profile.
- Long rants about the person you don't want to date.
So go fix your profile if you are someone who is guilty of doing these things, it may be the reason you are not matching up well, or at all.
The zero profile thing should be a standard rule for any social media, of any kind. I don't interact with or accept friend requests from someone with no profile or profile picture. This is the person who refuses to miss out on anything but also brags that they are not on social media.
They also say clichés and quotes from "The Office" are a turnoff. That's just stupid, I get everything else on the list but quotes from "The Office" should build status in every facet of life, not diminish it.
You are on social media, you check it all day, everyday, you just have not uploaded your real name, a photo or anything about yourself. You are still on it. If you want to say your not, then don't be on it.
Person 1 - Hey be my friend!
Person 2 - OK, what are you into?
Person 1 - Can't tell you.
Person 2 - Cool.
