As we inch closer to July 4th, the website, WalletHub has just released its findings to determine '2022's Most Patriotic States in America' and Connecticut did not do well, coming in at number 45 out of 50 states.

To find out where Americans have the most red, white, and blue pride, WalletHub compared the 50 states across two key dimensions, "Military Engagement" and "Civic Engagement." The following are The Top Five Most Patriotic States were Alaska (1), Montana (2), Virginia (3), North Dakota (4), and Oregon (5).

The five least patriotic states were Massachusetts (46), Florida (47), Rhode Island (48), New York (49), and Arkansas. (50) Connecticut came in at #45. If you're detail-oriented and need to examine the specific methodology in full, click on 'Methodology.'

WalletHub also completed a study of the 'Best & Worst Places for 4th of July Celebrations.' I'm going to spare you all the specifics of the methodology and go immediately to the results. The article rates the top 100 cities in the United States to celebrate the 4th of July, and not one Connecticut city made that list. The top five were New York City, San Francisco, Chicago, Minneapolis, and Atlanta. Here's where you can experience 4th of July fireworks in the greater Danbury area.
