I've lived in Connecticut for years and I've developed a long list of complaints about life in the Nutmeg State but a lack of safety is not one of them. Most of Connecticut (NOT ALL) is separated from a lot of the crime the rest of the country has to deal with and the numbers back it up.

We win Connecticut! I mean we're 6th but it sure feels like a victory. I've always said this about Connecticut, we are largely insulated from many of the nightmares the rest of the country has to endure. We don't often deal with natural disasters, we're physically pretty safe and we don't have a ton of gangs or organized crime. Safety certainly makes the pursuit of happiness that much easier.

Now if we could just afford to eat, we may have it all.
