I've heard of a hot dog trail, a lobster roll trail, a pizza trail, an ice cream trail, and a burger trail in Connecticut. I've got a new one to unveil - The Connecticut Candy and Sweets Trail, you know it as Rt. 202/44, Federal or Bantam Road, West, East, and Main Street.

My daily commute is 32 miles of Rt. 202 between Torrington and Brookfield, and along the way I drive by four of the best ice cream, candy, and chocolate shops in Connecticut. I added another along 44/202 to make it five, because the one I don't drive by every day has been making some of Connecticut's most magical confections since 1946.

Rt. 202 Should Be Known as the Connecticut Candy & Sweets Trail

I live in Torrington, work in Brookfield, and use 202 to get between. I pass by five of the most incredible ice cream and candy store shops in Connecticut on my ride. If you have a sweet tooth, I think that Rt. 202 should be known as the Connecticut Candy & Sweets Trail
