Actor Rob Schneider joined the Ethan and Lou show to promote his gig at Foxwoods (7/12/19) and his Netflix show "Real Rob." We got into the SNL days and Rob remembers being told his cast was no good. This was a cast that included; Schneider, Sandler, Farley, Spade, Hartman, and MacDonald.

In hindsight, that is a scary thought. In my opinion that was the best SNL cast of all time. There was a time where people didn't think they were good? I do remember reading and hearing things about this over the years that it was network executives at NBC who were the ones worried about that cast.

Just think about if they had pulled the plug on Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider, Norm MacDonald, Chris Farley and Phil Hartman before they actually did. I can't even imagine a world devoid of the laughs they all gave us in that time period. It goes to show you that executives need to stay far away from the creative process because they can surely destroy genius.
