This certainly is a serious charge anywhere but it's exceedingly rare in a town like Ridgefield, Connecticut. This arrest comes just days after the announcement that Ridgefield was named America's Safest City by Neighborhood Scout. The Neighborhood Scout report comes out every July, and the 2023 study had Ridgefield ranked #1 for safety with a 1 in 510 chance of being the victim of a crime.
