Hartford Welcomes Back The Meadows Music Theatre Legacy
If you got excited about the news that the Governor Mario Cuomo Bridge may soon once again be known as the Tappan Zee Bridge, you're going to love this one, especially if you love live music in Connecticut.
According to wfsb.com, the licensing agreement that most of us old timers have refused to acknowledge for the past 19 years has finally expired, and Hartford's Xfinity Theatre will once again be known as The Meadows Music Theatre. The venue was known as 'The Meadows' to us when it opened up in 1995, and it took them 11 years to find someone to cough up the sponsorship rights. Through the 2000's-2010's it was named the New England Dodge Music Center, CTnow.com Meadows Music Theatre, Comcast Theatre, and until now, Xfinity Theatre. What have most of us called it all along? Yeah.

It's an incredible facility, with 7,500 covered seats, and the capacity for 22,500 on the lawn, but another incredible venue in Connecticut just received national high praise.

Mohegan Sun Arena has been racking up accolades, also recently named to the Forbes Best-In-State Companies for 2026. Mohegan Sun arena has a 10,000 seat capacity and hosts more than 125 concert and sporting events per year. Buy those tickets, we're lucky to have both of these gems.
