I-95 Exclusive: Gretchen Mol Misses 7th Grade Love Letters
On February 15th, actress Gretchen Mol will be performing for one night only in A.R. Gurney's Love Letters at the The BOK at the Sharon Playhouse, opposite Campbell Scott.
You may recognize Gretchen from her roles in Boardwalk Empire, Yellowstone (as Evelyn Dutton), Rounders, The Notorious Bettie Page, Manchester by the Sea, and Woody Allen’s Celebrity. She’s bringing her talents to Connecticut for this special performance, and we had the chance to speak with her during the Thursday (1/30/25) edition of the I-95 Morning Show. Here's our favorite moment from the conversation.
Dave: Because you are performing Love Letters with Campbell Scott, my wife wanted me to ask you, back in the early 90s did you happen to write any love letters to Campbell Scott after watching the movie "Singles" like she did?
Gretchen: "Haha, I did not, no but I did miss those days of love letters. I remember being in 7th grade and that was a big deal like passing notes in the hallway that you would write during your class to whoever you had a crush on. That was a big deal and I don't think kids do that anymore."
Lou: Yeah, circle yes or no if you like me..
Gretchen: "Exactly, those were the days! Or A,B,C, none of the above."
