Who among us has not made a mistake after a night of overindulging with alcohol?

Some mistakes you can live down, others stay with you long after the night wears off. A 30 year old man from Staffordshire, England just made a regrettable decision that he'll be explaining for the rest of his life.

According to Metro, a man who used to go by Thomas Dodd, legally changed his name to Celine Dion. He hot hammered on Christmas Eve while watching a Celine Dion television concert, went online filled out a few forms, spent $120 for the application and fell asleep.

Apparently the man blacked out because he says he didn't remember changing his name the next morning. The memories came flooding back when he got the certification papers in the mail.

He's now Celine Dion and he told Metro he's going to keep it "depending on how difficult it makes my life."

I love this story with all my heart, it's extremely relatable to me. It's not that I ever got drunk and changed my name, it's that I've gotten whacked out on the booze juice and talked about changing my name more than once.

Names I've considered:

  • Ernest Borgnine
  • Gary Busey
  • Jan Hammer (wrote the Miami Vice theme)
  • Gloria Estefan
  • Gene. (First name Gene, last name .)
  • Eagle Wing
  • Uncle Knuckles
  • DJ Smoov Nuts
  • My name a-dong (That's the name, all of those words, first name "my name" last name "a-dong") It's super confusing
  • Restaurant Tour
  • Randy Voo
  • Carl Arm
  • James Trickington

Don't do booze kids, you'll end up hanging with Celine Dion and I.
