According to Pitchfork.com, Tina Weymouth and her husband Chris Frantz, formerly of the Talking Heads and the Tom Tom Club, were traveling along the Boston Post Road and Kings Lane in Fairfield when an alleged drunk driver hit their vehicle head-on.

According to Fairfield Police, the accident occurred on March 13 at 8:45 pm. According to the post on Pitchfork.com, Frantz stated, "We were struck head-on by a drunk driver who was driving on the wrong side of the road."

According to a post on his Facebook page, Frantz wrote, "we walked away from the collision. Tina had a cat scan and suffered three fractured ribs and a fractured sternum. She's been in a lot of pain, but she will get better with time." They were driving a white Ford SUV.

Frantz, Weymouth, and frontman David Byrne formed Talking Heads in 1975, later adding Jerry Harrison as a fourth core member. The group split in 1991 when David Byrne decided to pursue solo projects.

Frantz, 70, and Weymouth, 71, went on to perform and record several albums with their own side project, Tom Tom Club. The couple has been married since 1977 and has two adult children. Their last album recorded in 2021 is titled, 'The Good, The Bad, and the Funky.'

I have to ask, do you have a favorite Talking Heads song? My fav is 'Once In a Lifetime' from the 'Little Creatures' album. My second favorite Heads tune is 'Stay Up Late.' I invite you to check out 'Once In a Lifetime' caught live in Los Angeles in 1983. "You may ask yourself, how did I get here?"
