Florida Foot Sniffer: Another Warning for Anyone Leaving Connecticut
Here is yet another startling example of why fleeing Connecticut for Florida is a BAD idea. According to Local 10, a Florida woman was just trying to sell a pair of used shoes, and instead she ended up in one of the strangest crime stories you’ll hear all week.

She met up with a 28-year-old guy named Elmoncy Sercle at a hotel, ready to hand over the sneakers and be on her way. But instead of a normal exchange, this dude asked if he could sniff her feet. Yeah… he went there.
She shut that down immediately, which apparently hurt his feelings. He grabbed the shoes, bolted to the parking lot, and when she followed him out, things got even weirder. He jumped into his SUV, pulled a clumsy little three-point turn, and actually ran her over. Thankfully, she wasn’t badly hurt.
Cops later tracked him down and charged him with aggravated battery — and it turns out this isn’t his first run-in with this kind of nonsense. The victim summed it up best: “extremely bizarre.” Which, honestly, feels like an understatement.
You want that? You want to move to Florida? Who needs to worry about foot whiffers trying to gather your hoof odor? Then, you escape their clutches, and they pull a K-turn and run you over with their vehicle? Not cool guy. Stay in Connecticut.

P.S. Who is still doing this? People, you have to stop meeting strangers on Facebook Marketplace to make and extra $20 on what is essentially junk. Who did you think was going to show up to buy your smelly old gym sneakers?
