In November of 2021,I saw a video appear on my feed of newly elected Dean Esposito, dancing.

I was so impressed with his moves, I wrote an article titled: "Danbury Mayor Elect Dean Esposito Shreds the Dance Floor at Victory Party." Ever since, his dancing has become a running joke when he makes guest appearances on the I-95 Morning Show.

Now, the legend will go to a whole new level, as the Mayor has agreed to compete in a local dance competition. The event is called "Dancing with Our Stars", it's a charity fundraiser for the Hillside Food Outreach that takes place April 29th. Hillside is a local organization that feeds "in-need" families in the Greater-Danbury area.

We caught up with the Mayor on Thursday (3/16/23) to find out more, this is what he had to say:

"Of course I though it would be a great opportunity to help the Hillside Food Outreach raise money. There is this whole process, you can send money in, vote and I think the concept is great."

Despite Dean's world famous dancing ability, this is no easy feat, the Mayor told us this comes with a bit of work:

"I have practice today at 3 o'clock at Arthur Murray down on Main Street in Danbury and we're formulating our little program, my pro dancer and I. I think it is pretty exciting but right now, it's about making time to go to practice. My wife tells me, you gotta go to practice today."

Esposito's so committed that he already purchased special dance shoes but where is his confidence level? It appears to be off-the-charts, the Mayor told us:

"I think, in all honesty I'm going to take the title and win this competition."

OOOH, Dean be flossin', the Mayor just said ring the alarm, I'm throwin' elbows!

This dude has dance moves, is known to rock a mustache and was a high school football star. I think it's a pretty safe bet that he owned a Camaro at some point in his life. It's also highly likely he's seen Saturday Night Fever 6 or 7 thousand times.

Hillside food Outreach is a wonderful local organization that feeds people right here in our local area. This is the go-to charity of the Ethan, Lou & Large Dave Show and for good reason. Hillside collects food and money from the Danbury area and makes sure it goes right back into our communities. Nothing is shipped out of town, the people benefiting from their tireless work, are our neighbors.

44 Images From Inside the Haunting + Historic Old Jail in Danbury

Rich history and survival is the story of Danbury's Old Jail. It's historical significance in the Hat City is unquestionable, and many residents know some of the facts. What people may not know, is that it took great effort on the part of many Danbury residents to keep it protected. It's not a miracle that it stands today, it's a result of hard work and respect for the City's narrative. Here I share with you some of the facts that make the Old Jail special, the work it took to keep it intact and why I found the space haunting.

Vacant Brookfield Properties Give Me the Creeps

Brookfield Connecticut is a beautiful New England town with picturesque landscapes and architecture. It does have one section of road that is about a mile long, that time has forgotten. When the highway got extended, the life started to drain from this portion of Federal Road and COVID-19 put the finishing touches on any business that was hanging on for dear life. There are supposed to be people in these places, that's why they were made. The absence of humanity in these spaces makes them tragic and chilling.
