MSN recently put out their list of the "America's Best Pancake Houses State-by-State." The Connecticut honor went to a beloved Westbrook, CT restaurant.

The Nutmeg State winner was Cristy's Restaurant. MSN had this to say about Critsy's:

Cristy’s offers a wide range of specialty pancakes, including oatmeal and raspberry, and a crispy-topped banana and crunch stack. You can always guarantee the quality to be superb, with some customers saying they're some of the best in the state.

I've never had the pleasure of visiting Cristy's but it's going on the list, they have great reviews and a sick looking menu. You can find Cristy's at 1261 Boston Post Road in Westbrook, CT.

Let me take this opportunity to say how unnecessary pancakes are. The day French toast or waffles were invented, should have been the funeral of the pancake. People don't use 8-track tapes anymore and that is what pancakes are, the 8-track of breakfast foods.

Tag lines for pancakes:

  • Want the food equivalent of roofies? Get pancakes!
  • Pancakes, when you're too embarrassed to eat a ball of dough.
  • Having trouble sleeping? Try pancakes and we'll see you next fall!
  • Pancakes, be sticky.

No offense to Cristy's, I'm still coming down for a meal of food. It's not your fault people still insist on eating these demon cakes. You're just giving life your best in everything you do, and we all love you for that.

CT Named Hot Spot for UFO Sightings, 5 Towns You're Most Likely to See One

According to the NY Post, in honor of National Alien Abduction Daycasino.ca ranked U.S. states by UFO sightings. California led with over 36,000 reports, while Louisiana had the least. With 182,000 sightings nationwide, the odds of an abduction are 1 in 1,833. Connecticut was ranked #11 in the nation which is pretty high. This had me wondering which CT communities get the most sightings? Thanks to Stacker on "the web" I was able to find the Top 5.
