Costco Customers Up In Arms About Major Changes Coming in 2025

According to doofinder.com, Costco is the third-largest retailer in the United States, with over 600 locations and approximately 132 million members nationwide, trailing only Walmart and Amazon. Personally, the only aspect of Costco that I dislike is the large crowds of shoppers. I'm not a fan of being around so many people at once. The trick is to arrive at Costco just as they're opening. 

Before I began working on this article, I posed the following question on my Facebook page, "What do you LIKE, and what do you DISLIKE about Costco? The following are some of the responses: Keep scrolling after the comments to find out what new changes are in store for 2025.

** Mark W: “Kill or be killed” aggressive shoppers. No thanks

** Maura S: Brookfield Costco my only complaint is the parking lot. I feel like I get a lot of great deals. Waterbury Costco has a much better parking lot.

** Marie F: Obnoxious shoppers.

** Lisa W: Great return policy on almost everything. Not always the best price on some things. Cash back on card and further discounts on some things with executive membership. Great quality gasoline and prices

** Keith J: Like: food court. Pizza and hot dog deal. Dislike: crowds.   BJs has basically the same stuff and rarely a crowd. Plenty of parking

** Michele T: The slow, get in the way shoppers.  When you want to get your stuff and get out, it’s a huge store and it is difficult to get around when you have 3 or 4 people walking side by side strolling as if they had all day to be in there. Having said that ….. I wish they had better hours! Opening at 10:00 is like midday! Open at 7am and we can avoid the casual browsing shoppers. Or be open after 8:30pm!

** John B:  Keep your calculator handy. Most times retail stores sale prices match the Cosco price per unit (oz, lb, quart, gallon, etc) And ya don't have to buy a barrel or pallet of it.

** Matt CW: Costco is amazing and should be treated as so. I can’t even believe all the naysayers I am seeing in this comment section. Costco is a gift from above.

** Curtis F. We love Costco! From the opening of the store. The dinner Dog and bottomless cup for $1.61 takes me back to 1969, rotisserie chick, awesome. I buy clothes there to do yardwork and play golf.

Jay C: like being able to buy a skid of toilet paper or a 55 gallon drum of extra-virgin olive oil. I don’t like that on a weekend the place kinda looks that movie where there’s a revolution going on in some underdeveloped country, and everybody’s at the airport trying to get out.  Total mayhem and sheer panic.

Barbara WC: I hate that they don’t have signs. They want you to wander…. To find things. But I like their chicken breast bites, smoked salmon, organic fruits, soup in the cold case, and artisan bread.
