A Potentially Powerful Nor’easter Is Taking Aim at Connecticut
Oh Good, Another Snowstorm. Just What Connecticut Needed.
Just when Connecticut residents were starting to see patches of pavement again, Mother Nature looked down and said, “Nah.” Another winter storm is lining up for this weekend, with the potential of lots of snow, slippery roads, and that familiar seasonal hobby: staring out the window in mild disgust.

As we approach the weekend, I checked in with I-95's Meteorologist, Jack Drake. I told Jack to give it to me straight. Do I need to start shopping 'homes for sale' in Okahumpka, Florida?!! (you say). Yes, it's a real place.
I-95 Meteorologist, Jack Drake's Weekend Snowmageddon Forecast
Jack's forecast calls for another arctic blast that is set to work in Thursday and Friday. High temperatures may not make it out of the teens in many locations, and lows will be near or below zero. As of now, there is high confidence there will be a powerful storm off the east coast, but low confidence in exactly how close it gets to New England. I would expect to gain confidence on impacts over the next 48 hours, and if significant snowfall is a threat for this system.
Right now, modeling favors Eastern areas such as Rhode Island and Eastern Massachusetts with the best chance for 3 inches or more of snow. It should be noted, however, that shifts in the track are expected 4+ days away from the event. The cold pattern will remain in place for the long range as we head into next week.
Check in with the 'I-95 Ethan, Lou, and Large Dave Morning Show' on Friday when Meteorologist, Jack Drake updates this impending storm.
