Connecticut University Highlighted as One of the Best Global Universities

I love when Connecticut gets highlighted for things. We may not be that great of a state in some ways, but we are really great in other ways.

One way I can confidently say we're pretty great is education. We have a lot of very good schools here in this little state. There are also so many different options to choose from. We have smaller state schools and larger universities and our universities really shine at what they're great at.

Yale University Ranks in Top 10 Best Global Universities

U.S. News came out with a list of the Best Global Universities and to my surprise, a Connecticut one sat proudly in the top. To have a school in our small state sit in the top 10 - it really tells you something. Yale University sat at number 9. They received a global score on this last of an 86.0. They rank their schools according to performance across a set of widely accepted indicators of excellence.

Yale is of course known for being one of the best, but it surprises me that it sits right in the middle of New Haven. I'm assuming if you're from here, you've taken a drive to see the campus. It really is unlike any other. To have a school with such a strong presence sit right in Connecticut is very cool.

The other top schools on the list were:

• Harvard University
• Massachusetts Institue of Technology (MIT)
• Stanford University
• University of California Berkely
• University of Washington Seattle

Yale sits with some pretty spectacular schools. I took a scroll to see where UCONN sat on that list. They sat in at number 292.
