What a way to start the month and the year. Every time I see success stories from the lottery, I feel like I need to start playing. Can you image the payday you can get? I just don't want to spend my hard-earned money on scratch-offs and lose. Oh the ups and downs of gambling.

I checked out the CT Lottery website to see if there were any big winnings to start the month off and man was I surprised. A lucky Riverside resident purchased a $20 $1,000,000 Gold scratch-off from the Greenwich BP gas station in Old Greenwich and won some life-changing money. It was noted on February 4, the Connecticut resident won $1,000,000. Can you imagine grabbing a scratch-off while getting some gas and becoming $1M richer? I can't.

February looks like it's been off to a good start for CT Lottery winners. There was also a $250,000 winner on February 4 on a KENO game. The resident was from Windsor and purchased the ticket at Sam's Quick Stop in Hartford. There have been 2 $100,000 winners so far, 1 $30,000 winner, 2 $25,000 winners, and 4 $10,000 winners. The last reported winner on the site was February 4.

These are some pretty impressive numbers for only being reported for 4 days this month so far. Maybe February will be a lucky month all around. I am definitely interested to see what the numbers will look like come the end of the month. Maybe February is the month that everyone needs to take a spin at some scratch-offs. You never really know what's going to happen.

If you end up taking a crack at it - good luck!
