Could Connecticut Really Be Just A Figment Of Our Imagination
Connecticut is Not Real?
Did it ever occur to you that you weren’t real? Like maybe we’re some kind of artificial beings tricked into thinking OUR reality is the reality.

I think it’s normal to wonder about, especially with today’s tech showing us how possible it is to create thinking entities. But what about our environment(s)? What if I told you there’s an entire group of people who think Connecticut isn’t real?
Yeah, it’s a Reddit group fittingly called “Connecticutisnotreal.” From scrolling through it, it looks like a fun joke to most people, but there are always a few who don’t seem to get it. Either way, the group churns out new content all the time to back up their “theory.” Here’s just one example:

Then you get gems like this:
Dear Fellow Truthers, byu/EerieEchidna inConnecticutisnotreal
And another one…
Choose cake, not Connecticut

And on and on it goes.
But what if Connecticut really weren’t real? On one hand, I’d be pretty annoyed — because I don’t love most of the alternatives out there. I already gave Florida a shot, and let’s be honest, it’s a trash-panda society from top to bottom. On the other hand, not being real would free me from a lot of financial obligations. No more massive utility checks to Eversource, no more parking tickets — I could just let loose and see what happens.

People want to do 118 mph on I-95? Maybe I join the party. Street takeovers on Boston Post Road? Fine — my day’s over, let’s step outside and see if anyone’s got a smoke I can bum.
So, is Connecticut real? I certainly hope so. But if it’s not, let’s just say I’ll be living a whole lot differently from here on out.
