This New Yogurt-Coffee Trend is Going to Catch on Like Wildfire in Connecticut
According to the Daily Dot, the internet has officially crossed into a new level of “what are we even doing anymore?”—and somehow, it feels tailor-made for Connecticut.
There’s a new trend blowing up on TikTok where people are dumping yogurt into their coffee. Yeah… yogurt. In coffee. Not next to it. Not as breakfast on the side like a normal human being. Actually, mixing it in like it’s some kind of protein-powered science experiment.

And listen, if there’s one thing we do better than any other state here in the Nutmeg State, it’s aggressively educating each other about health. Especially gut health. Everyone you know suddenly has a TED Talk locked and loaded about probiotics. If I have to hear one more person say “the gut is the brain of the body,” I might lose my mind—and apparently now my morning coffee too.
This whole thing is being pushed by a fitness influencer named Jordan Bernstein, who kicked it off with a recipe that sounds like it was created during a dare: cold brew, Greek yogurt, and coconut water. Since then, he’s apparently been freestyling—adding salt, cinnamon, and who knows what else. At this point, we’re one step away from someone tossing in kale and calling it a latte.
@18hens Every time I see a viral coffee recipe I just have to try it. But this time, the recipe tried me 💀 It’s all love tho coffee yogurt boy @coffeeyogurtboy ♬ Mozart/Requiem "Lacrimosa"(1394506) - Mint
And the reactions? Exactly what you’d expect. Half the people are pretending it’s life-changing, and the other half are just trying to process what they’re watching. One comment nailed it perfectly: “Just drink the coffee and have the yogurt on the side, my guy.” That person should be running the internet.

But here’s the thing—this is so Connecticut it hurts. Give it a week and someone in West Hartford will be explaining the gut benefits of yogurt coffee like they discovered fire. A month from now, you’ll see it on a chalkboard menu in some minimalist café with a $9 price tag and a paragraph-long health breakdown.
And honestly? As ridiculous as it sounds… this thing is absolutely going to catch on here.
