Connecticut Car Thefts on Rise, 5 Things You Need to Know
The issue has spiraled out of control: cars are being stolen at alarming rates in Connecticut and across the U.S. In some instances, the thieves aren't even attempting to conceal these crimes.
Many of these incidents involve joyriding, often by teenagers. Both local and federal authorities are urging citizens to take every possible measure to stem this troubling trend.

I say this almost every day, but I just want to be boring. How hard is that? I want to get up, go to work, and then go home and chill without incident. There's always some drama on the horizon or something to worry about. Not a day goes by without a warning that danger is coming, and we need to protect ourselves. Look, if everyone could behave, we'd be Kool & The Gang, but that's not in the cards for us.
Let me propose a scenario: You go to work, have an average day, and then go home. You have a nice meal, park yourself on the couch around 7 pm, and binge-watch "The Last of Us" or "Curb Your Enthusiasm," falling asleep with a bowl of popcorn on your bloated belly.
Doesn't that sound good? All we need to do is convince the psychos that this kind of day can enrich their lives, and we'd be good. NO! Everyone needs to DO things. Doing things IS the problem; inactivity and relaxation result in peace. Doing things are what lead to heartbreak and devastation.
The great John Mulaney once said:
"It's really easy not to go to things. It is so much easier not to do things than to do them, that you would do anything is totally remarkable. It is 100% easier not to do things than to do them and so much fun not to do them, especially when you were supposed to do them. In terms of instant relief, cancelling plans is like heroin; it is an amazing feeling."
"I did nothing today, that is my favorite activity. That's why I love rainy days, you wake up and go oh, it looks like I'm not doing crap today. It's too bad, I was probably gonna go kayaking, climb a giant rock or something but no, I'll probably just take a nap."
