The Best Places to Shop Black Friday Deals in Connecticut
The retailers of Connecticut are gearing up for one of their biggest days of the year, are you ready to shop? A new study from WalletHub.com has just ranked the best places to shop on Black Friday, here's the results.
My wife has worked retail in Connecticut for over 30 years, she's endured the Black Friday shoppers at Westfarms, Brass Mill Center, Danbury Fair, and Evergreen Walk, some of the busiest in our state. We're an early to bed on Thanksgiving night couple anyway, but she's always out of the house by 5am to make us holiday shoppers happy. Some years the deals are 50%, others approach that magical 80% off level. Here's what WalletHub says are the deepest discounts of the 2025 Holiday season.

In order to arrive at their rankings, WalletHub.com surveyed over 3,100 deals from 13 of the biggest retailers in the US and calculated the average discount each retailer will offer. According to their research JCPenney will offer the deepest discounts at an average of 74.08%. This is the seventh time since 2014 that JCPenney has earned the top spot in WalletHub's rankings.
An online retailer landed at #2 - Belk, which is not in Connecticut, but they're offering an average 72.4% discount on their Black Friday specials. Kohl's was ranked at #3 with an average discount of 45.39%, and Macy's ranked at #4 with an average 44.46% discount.
Rounding out the Top 5 is Home Depot, offering an average 35.63% discount, and numbers 6-10 are BJ's, Amazon, Target, Newegg, and Best Buy. According to WalletHub.com's research, Kohl's is your best bet for Apparel & Accessories and Consumer Electronics, JCPenney for Toys, Appliances, and most everything else, Walmart for Computers & Phones, and Newegg for Furniture.
