Cheap Hotel Rates in Greater Danbury for Less Than $75 a Night
Some of us, unless it's a special occasion, find that forking over $300 just to sleep is absurd.
Many of us are carefully keeping tabs on our money, so realistically, spending scads of cash on a gorgeous hotel room with a bed the size of Delaware and a large screen TV may not fit in with your budgetary situation. Can you still order up porn on a hotel TV? I was just asking for a friend. If you're just passing through and need to spend the night in Danbury or if your daughter's room is across the hall from yours and you REALLY need some mom and dad private time, I have some suggestions for those who are trying to do that Dave Ramsey budget-pay down debt thing.

Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham - Bethel
Located at 80 Benedict Road in Bethel, Microtel offers rooms averaging around $65/night. When Mindy and I are traveling out of town, I find the best rates are found on Travelocity.com. which showed a $59/night special. I also take advantage of special AAA and AARP discounted rates whenever possible. Microtel's number is 855-201-7819.

America's Best Value Inn - Danbury
American's Best Value Inn at 461 N Main St. in Danbury is one of the first structures you'll see if you're exiting exit 5 off I-84 eastbound in Danbury because it sits atop the hill where Main Street turns into Clapboard Ridge Road. It scores a 2.25/5 on Yelp where I found a $64 rate through Travelocity. Call 203-748-5433.

Super 8 - Danbury
The Super 8 Wyndham Hotel is easily accessible off Exit 4 of I-84 in Danbury and averages around $64 for a one night stay according to Travelocity.com. For reservations, call 855-222-9507.

Newbury Inn - Brookfield
The Newbury Inn is close by the I-95 studios on Route 7 in Brookfield. This our go-to hotel if a snowstorm is coming through because it's within walking distance of I-95. Lou and I have have stayed there once or twice during nasty winter weather, in separate rooms of course. Travelocity.com is your best bet at $66/night and the TripAdvisor rating is 3/5. The Rocky River Inn at 236 Kent Road(Rt.7) in New Milford could be the best bang for your buck, no pun intended. For a hotel that only charges $70/night, the property received glowing reviews of 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor.com. Call 860-355-3208 for reservations.
