It appears that Chick-fil-A is still the winner and grand champion of the chicken sandwich game in Connecticut. They are so wildly popular that during the lunch hour, especially on Saturday, you're liable to wait in line at the drive-thru. You could read my article about the traffic mess Chick-fil-A's create and my thoughts on all of that.

I recently learned from dailyvoice.com about a chicken sandwich shop called Haven Hot Chicken located in New Haven and now they plan on opening a new location in Orange. I don't do hot and spicy when it comes to food. I choose not to breathe fire when I'm enjoying a meal.

I get the impression that a large segment of the population loves spicy food. When I tell friends I don't enjoy Mexican food, they look at me like I just poisoned their cat. It appears as they might go into shock.

My point is I think that most of the general population loves Chick-fil-A's chicken sandwiches, and thousands upon thousands appreciate hot and spicy, so why aren't restaurants that specialize in hot chicken sandwiches like Haven Hot Chicken not popping up all over the country like Chick-fil-As?

Excuse me for just a minute. My editor is attempting to get my attention. I've just been informed that Chick-fil-A does have a spicy chicken sandwich on their menu.

With that said, I have a question, for those of you who have had a spicy chicken sandwich from Haven Hot Chicken and the Chick-fil-A spicy chicken sandwich, which one is better?
