Brookfield Police Announce 10th Annual Toy Drive to Benefit Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital
It's both a very stressful time of year but also such a wonderful time. While many people are in need, there are many people that are also willing to drop everything and help. We see the beauty of giving back during the holiday season and that's why it's always one of my favorite times of the year.
The Brookfield Police Department announced that they will be hosting their 10th Annual Toy Drive to benefit the children at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital. The drive will be taking place on Saturday, December 14 from 10 AM - 4 PM.
The toy drive will be taking place at 84 Federal Road in Brookfield. If you're confused, it's the parking lot attached to Five Guys and Kohl's, and they always do a great job making sure you won't miss it. The event will be rain or shine. The Brookfield Police Department encourages you to come down and will be providing free coffee, hot chocolate and snacks.
They are looking for new and unwrapped toys only. You are also able to make a cash donation in lieu of gifts. If you are unable to make it to the actual event, you can head over to the police headquarters at 63 Silvermine Road at anytime. They will have a box set up in their lobby for donations of new and unwrapped toys.
They will have Rock Hill Farm attending with a horse drawn carriage that will be offering rides as well as Santa making an appearance. It sounds like it's going to be a fun-filled day.
It's the best time of year and there's nothing better than bringing smiles to kids faces. We hope you're able to make it down there and thank you, Brookfield Police Department for everything you do.
