T.J. Miller is bringing his stand-up to Comix Roadhouse at Mohegan Sun for four shows over three days, October 16–18. We caught up with him ahead of this big Connecticut gig — here’s our favorite moment from that conversation.
Lou: You mentioned your character from Silicon Valley earlier, Erlich Bachman. If the Silicon Valley universe were real, what would Erlich being doing in 2025? I'd imagine he'd be busy with all the advancements in A.I.
TJ: "No, no, he'd still be smoking opium in Tibet. He never stopped smoking opium because Gavin Belson paid who knows how many tens of thousands of dollars to just keep him high on opium. I don't know if you guys have done opium, but once you've done opium, you don't need or want to do anything else. His only involvement with A.I. would be if A.I. could help him get MORE opium."
