The Best City for Independence Day 2017 Is Not What You Think
You may think Philadelphia is the ideal place to be on the Fourth of July, but you'd be way off.
WalletHub has come out with its list of the best cities to celebrate the Fourth of July and the City of Brotherly Love is nowhere to be found among the top choices.
The site created its rankings by looking 18 metrics across five categories in the 100 most populated cities in the U.S. of A, including Fourth of July celebrations, affordability, attractions and activities, safety and accessibility and Independence Day weather forecast. And which city came in first? Atlanta. The Southern metropolis topped San Francisco and Buffalo as the cities where patriotism will be overflowing this year. Philadelphia pulled up in 20th place.
Sadly, civic pride will not be on display in Newark, N.J. and Jersey City. Those two finished at the bottom, proving the Garden State has a thing or two to learn about patriotism.
