Back to the Future: The Danbury ALDI is Matching Its 2019 Prices on Thanksgiving Favorites
ALDI is my favorite place to shop for groceries.

I think it's worth noting the following:
- No one is paying me to say this.
- I'm a staunch defender of my money (cheap).
- I don't like shopping.
OK, now that is out of the way, I can tell you more, without any sales push getting in the way.
My ALDI love story begins
The first time I went to ALDI was an eye-opener. My wife warned me ahead of time about some quirks I'd encounter so I wouldn't get upset or have any "misunderstandings." She told me that the aisles are setup in a one-way fashion, there is a system for shopping carts and I'd end up saving a lot of money.
The "one-way" thing turned out to be no big deal, and we all have experience with this after COVID. The shopping cart thing is simple as well. I put a quarter into a mechanism that unlocks the cart. This way, they know I'll return the cart because I want my quarter back. Seeing as they don't need to hire someone to chase carts all day, they pass that savings onto me.
I've been hooked ever since and I've found myself taking pictures of my full shopping cart and posting them on social media to show people how few dollars I spent, filling the cart. I'm a fully converted into an ALDI shopper but I don't want it all to myself. I love this place so much, I want others to know what is happening in the ALDI-Verse (I came up with that, it's mine).
What's New for Thanksgiving 2022
The Danbury ALDI location by Boston Market is going to match its 2019 prices on certain holiday items. Inflation is on everyone's mind but ALDI is doing its level-best to stop the bleeding with their Thanksgiving Price Rewind.
The laid out the details in a recent press release, stating:
"We are offering affordable prices on holiday essentials. Starting November 2, holiday favorites ranging from appetizers, desserts, sides and beverages, will match 2019 prices for discounts of up to 30%.
Think favorites like brie cheese, prosciutto, cornbread stuffing, award-winning wines, mini quiches, fresh brown-and-serve rolls, macarons and apple pie, to name a few. Shoppers can look for the Thanksgiving Price Rewind icon in their local ad and throughout the store for extra savings."
The President of ALDI U.S. Dave Rinaldo spoke about the promotion, saying:
"Providing amazing products at the absolute lowest prices is what we've always done, and we know right now that's more important than ever. We expect to welcome tens of millions of customers in our stores this Thanksgiving season, and we want them to know they can count on us. So why not attempt that additional side dish this year, or invite over a few more friends or family members? You can rest easy knowing ALDI has your back this Thanksgiving, and beyond."
Let's party like it's 2019, before everything got.... ya know.
These holiday deals are taking place at all participating ALDI stores, so just check ahead. It's worth a look, we're talking about up to 30% off, but get moving because the promotion is already underway and ends on November 29, 2022.

P.S. My co-workers ask me why I write articles that are this glowing when I like a place. I tell them, the answers are simple. I'm quick to yell and scream that I don't like a person, place or thing, I can most certainly do the opposite when I'm happy with something. I value my time and money, and when I notice a company that respects that, I feel they deserve to be shouted out.
