Real-world stories here are often stranger than fiction, leading many to believe that the Constitution State has a thin veil between the living and the dead. There is no shortage of ghost tales or ghost hunters in Connecticut, with numerous locations across the state thought to be haunted. Here are just five of the many places in Connecticut believed by some to be haunted.

Have you ever heard of the Murder Factory? Before it got that nickname, it was a "Home for Aged People" run by "Sister" Amy Duggan Archer-Gilligan. The Windsor, CT old age home was supposed to be a place of care and comfort but turned into a nightmare for the residents. In the early 1900's, Amy murdered dozens of the people she was supposed to care for.
