The person charged with shooting a man during a Connecticut home invasion gets steep bail.

Bail has been set at $1,025,000 according to the Connecticut State Police Facebook page

You may remember back in August 2016, Dustin Holst-Grubbe, 20, of Millerton was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, after he allegedly broke into the Oakwood Diner in Millerton and stole money out of the register.

While investigating the crime, police from New York learned that Connecticut State Police also implicated Dustin Holst-Grubbe in a home invasion and shooting in Connecticut.

On Aug. 4, Connecticut State Troopers responded to a report of a gun shot victim in Bridgewater. Upon arrival troopers initiated medical care to the gun shot victim, who survived and learned a home invasion had occurred. While on scene troopers, located a vehicle reported stolen out of New York State. Troopers also recovered a shotgun on the scene.

It was determined that Holst-Grubbe was involved in multiple crimes throughout both New York and Connecticut.

He was moved back to Connecticut on Friday and was arraigned in Litchfield Superior Court.
