The Dutchess County man who was charged in a Millerton diner burglary, has now been charged in a Connecticut home invasion and shooting.

Dustin Holst-Grubbe, 20, of Millerton was arrested and charged with the burglary of the Oakhurst Diner in Millerton. He is currently being held in Dutchess County Jail on $25,000 cash bail, or $50,000 bond.

While investigating the burglary, the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office in conjunction with the Connecticut State Police also implicated Dustin Holst-Grubbe in a home invasion and shooting in Connecticut. According to police, it appears that the diner burglary took place first, after which Holst-Grubbe allegedly went to Connecticut and committed other crimes, including the home invasion.

On Aug. 4, Connecticut State Troopers responded to a report of a gun shot victim in Bridgewater. Upon arrival troopers initiated medical care to the gun shot victim, and learned a home invasion had occurred. While on scene troopers, located a vehicle reported stolen out of New York State. Troopers also recovered a shotgun on the scene.

The victims of the home invasion were Victor P. Compe, who suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound, and his wife, Samantha A. Moore.

It was determined that Holst-Grubbe was involved in multiple crimes throughout both New York and Connecticut. On Aug. 7, the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office informed detectives in Connecticut that Holst-Grubbe had turned himself in on burglary charges.

Holst-Grubbe will be transported to Connecticut pending court authorization, and faces the following charges on top on his burglary charges:
